Flying full-back Darnell Furlong is the latest star interview in “Albion News” and he’s got an interesting insight on playing at The Hawthorns.
“You can feel the energy in the stadium,” says the 23-year-old right back who is one of the summer recruits winning rave reviews from the fans.
“There’s a great energy… there’s a definite atmosphere, you can feel it coming over the stadium. When you walk out you’ve been locked in the dressing room and away from it but then it’s like ‘wow, okay, we’ve got a job to do today.’
“You concentrate so much on what you are doing in the game but there will maybe be a break in play when you can become aware of it again.”
Furlong tells us who his favourite Albion player is at the moment, gives us a great insight into growing up the son of a high-profile footballer and why he doesn’t watch England games – but there’s a lot more besides in our matchday programme.
Sporting and Technical Director Luke Dowling gives an update on work behind the scenes and the future of Nathan Ferguson while Albion double promotion winner Andy Johnson talks about life behind the mic in his broadcasting role.
And there’s a Wolves legend turned Sky pundit telling us he thinks Albion are the best team he’s seen so far in the Championship.
