Matty Phillips was delighted to mark his return to action with a goal on Saturday afternoon.
The Baggies number ten opened the scoring against Charlton at The Hawthorns – his fifth strike of the season in the Sky Bet Championship.
Phillips, who is now the Club’s top scorer in 2019/20, missed the win over Middlesbrough and the draw with Barnsley on Tuesday.
And the Scotland international was happy to make an instant impact having being reinstated in Slaven’s side.
“It was great to be back in the team after a couple of weeks out and also great to be on the scoresheet,” said Matty.
“It really is a joy to play in this team. We create a lot of chances.
“Matheus put a great ball in for me to score.
“We talk about getting into the six-yard box and in at the back post and that has worked out for me today.
“All of the attacking players here are getting chances, and so are the players who are coming on in games off the bench.
“It’s important to keep putting them away.”
