Welcome to 101 Questions, Matty. Which 10 numbers would you like to pick?
“I’ll go for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 please.”
10 – Favourite pair of football boots you’ve ever had and why are they special to you?
“When I was about 14 or 15 I went on Nike ID and created an all-white Tiempo pair of boots. Those were my favourites. I used to love all-white boots but they rarely make them in one colour.”
20 – Who’s the funniest player at Albion and why?
“There’s a few actually for different reasons. Gareth Barry has to be up there. Young Kyle Edwards. He brings a lot to the table. However, I’m going to go with the skipper Jake Livermore. Jake and GB (Gareth Barry) together are a great combination.”
30 – What’s the best birthday present you ever received?
“I’ve had a few good gifts and experiences for my birthdays, but one that sticks out is when I was about six or seven and my parents organised a trip to St James' Park and I met Shaka Hislop. It would have to be that birthday or my 21st when I had Tim Westwood as DJ.”
40 – Who’s Albion’s hardman?
“Hardman? That’s a tough one. I’ve heard First Team Coach Julian Dicks can hold his own. Jake would be up there, I guess. Ahmed Hegazi isn’t one to be crossed.”
50 – Which language would you most like to learn and why?
“I’d love to learn French. It’s the language of love, isn’t it?”
60 – Favourite unhealthy food to eat?
“Easy. Indian or Chinese.”
70 – Who’s the most intelligent player in the Albion squad?
"Hal Robson-Kanu. For sure. He’s the most intelligent."
80 – If you’re having a bad day, what and who makes you feel better?
"Going home to the Mrs and kids always helps. I’m a big music fan also, so one of those two is sure to do the trick."
90 – How many pairs of shoes/ trainers do you own and which is your favourite pair?
"Shoes and trainers are my guilty pleasure. I have so many. I’d say well over 100 pairs. My favourite would be one of my Jordan 3 pairs."
100 – Have you got any secret talents?
"It’s not so much a talent, but I do plaits in my stepdaughter’s hair."
