Albion Under-23s will have the chance to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup when they face Scunthorpe United at Hednesford Town’s Keys Park on Thursday (ko 2pm).
After consecutive wins against all three teams in Group C, the Baggies fell to a 1-0 defeat against Newcastle United in tricky conditions at the Club's training ground in their most recent game, on Monday.
The Baggies go into their penultimate group game knowing a win would see them through to the last 16 of the competition.
If the game ends in a draw, Newcastle can go top with a win in their final game if the Baggies lose their last group match.
In that same circumstance, Hull would need two consecutive wins against Scunthorpe and the Throstles in order to match Albion’s point total.
The clash between the Baggies and the Iron was originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 but was postponed.
