Slaven Bilić was full of praise for Callum Robinson after his eye-catching performance on his debut against Luton on Saturday.
The forward, who signed on loan from Sheffield United last week, produced an impressive display against the Hatters at The Hawthorns as the Albion returned to winning ways in the league.
Robinson’s teasing cross from the left forced former Baggies defender Donervon Daniels into a mistake which led to the first goal of the afternoon.
And the boss is excited to see more of the ‘dangerous’ attacker, admitting Callum is exactly the type of player he wanted to add to his ranks for the remainder of the Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Slaven said: “I was very impressed with his first game. He is present, he is dangerous and he fits in with the other players.
“Callum was not a gamble. He was on our radar over the summer but he opted to go to the Premier League which is normal, of course.
“We knew who we were getting. Match fitness was never an issue because he was pretty much involved in Sheffield United’s games and they are a very fit team.
“He can also go by himself either with the ball or when he is linking up with other players on the pitch.
“He’s exactly the type of player that we wanted.”
