Slaven Bilić felt his side did more than enough to claim three points on Saturday afternoon and was left bitterly frustrated by Nottingham Forest’s late equaliser.
The Baggies, who twice led against the visitors, were pegged back in second half injury-time as Forest snatched a share of the spoils at The Hawthorns.
Despite the late disappointment, the Baggies boss was really pleased with his side’s display against a rival promotion contender.
The gaffer said: “It was a great game, we played terrific and were much better than them.
“After we scored at 2-1, we had many chances to score the third but some of our finishing wasn’t the best.
“To concede… it was a great strike from Cash but it was very frustrating because we definitely deserved three points today.
“The referee said Kyle Bartley was interrupting their player (for the disallowed goal at the end) but they were in the goal. They didn’t influence the game.
“Kyle was definitely onside so for me it was a completely good goal and we are disappointed with the decision.
“We are all disappointed, I’m disappointed but if we continue to play like this with the same patterns, energy and quality then we have a really good chance.”
