Rayhaan Tulloch says his involvement with the first-team has helped his development and is hoping to put in another good performance for Albion’s PL2 side against Stoke City at Aggborough on Monday (ko 7pm).
Last time out in the league the Baggies beat Swansea City 1-0 and are currently third in the Premier League 2 Division Two table. The young Throstles are also through to the last eight of the Premier League Cup after beating Doncaster Rovers 6-1, a game Tulloch scored a brace in.
And the youngster says training with the first-team has been instrumental in his good form at PL2 level.
Rayhaan said: “Recent performances have been good and we’ll need to keep to our high standards as we’re pushing to get into the Play-Offs.
“It’s been a good season so far with the goals I’ve scored, and it was good to add two goals to my tally against Doncaster. No matter what game it is, it’s always a nice feeling to score.”
Tulloch featured as a substitute in three different FA Cup games for Albion this season, building on his involvement in the two games against Brighton & Hove Albion in the competition last season, and the experiences of being involved with the first-team in the cup clashes and day-to-day training have provided a springboard for the 19-year-old winger.
Rayhaan said: “Being with the first team has helped my performances with the under-23s massively. Even just training with them regularly has helped my development.
“Stoke are a good side and it will be a tough game but I feel with the quality we have in our side, if we perform to the levels we have previously reached, we can win. We are all focused towards the game.”
