Albion and Burnley drew 0-0 at The Hawthorns in the Sky Bet Championship on Thursday evening.
There were chances for both teams during the first period, and while Burnley did have a second half goal disallowed, ultimately neither side could find a winner.
The result - the Baggies’ sixth consecutive draw - sees them rise up to fifth in the table. Next, they face Hull away this Sunday.
Carlos Corberán made three alterations to his starting XI, bringing in Jayson Molumby, John Swift and Tom Fellows following Friday’s Luton draw.
Although neither team managed a first-half breakthrough, it was an entertaining - and sometimes feisty - encounter.
Swift sent a close-range volley over inside six minutes before Burnley had their better spell, forcing Alex Palmer into good saves to stop Zian Flemming and, most notably, former Baggie Jeremy Sarmiento when he was clean through.
But Albion fought back and created opportunities themselves, Fellows and the again impressive Karlan Grant seeing shots blocked around the half-hour mark.
Callum Styles also fizzed one narrowly over leading up to the break - yet ultimately neither team managed a goal.
The ball was in the net 14 minutes after the interval as Jaidon Anthony headed home, but fortunately for the hosts the referee judged Burnley’s forward to have pushed Styles and ruled it out.
They then went close minutes later via Lucas Pires - who hit a low effort against the post, much to Albion’s relief.
Corberán swiftly switched up his XI and introduced Mikey Johnston, Lewis Dobbin and Uros Racic, which helped them regain a foot in the game.
The best opportunity fell to fellow late substitute Grady Diangana, however he could only guide his header off-target, ensuring the spoils were shared.
Albion: Palmer; Furlong, Holgate, Heggem, Styles; Molumby, Mowatt (Racic 64); Fellows (Dobbin 64), Swift (Johnston 64), Grant (Cole 87); Maja (Diangana 81).
Substitutes: Wildsmith, Nelson, Diakite, Wallace.
Attendance: 23,443 (1,060).
