Albion drew 0-0 with Luton Town at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
The Baggies created opportunities to win the game either side of half-time, most notably Brandon Thomas-Asante hitting the post during the first period.
But ultimately they couldn’t find a way past a stubborn Hatters defence, ensuring the Sky Bet Championship points were shared.
Steve Bruce switched to a 3-4-3 formation and brought Erik Pieters, Jake Livermore, Matty Phillips and Thomas-Asante into his starting XI.
And Albion began well in the Black Country sunshine. Thomas-Asante had half the crowd on their feet when his poke hit the side-netting early on, and Dara O’Shea might have done better with a back-post header which ended up wide.
Midway through the first period Luton created their first opportunity as Dan Potts nodded towards goal, however Okay Yokuslu was on hand to clear it off the line. Not long after the Baggies then went close themselves, Thomas-Asante turning well on the edge of the box and hitting the post.
The clash became more physical, and the chances dried up, as half-time approached – meaning it was goalless at the break.
Albion came out stronger and threatened again through a variety of Conor Townsend, Jed Wallace and O’Shea efforts.
Down the other end, though, Luton forced Alex Palmer into action via a deflected Elijah Adebayo finish – the goalkeeper acrobatically tipping over on his home league debut.
Wallace curled wide from the edge of the box 74 minutes in, and Karlan Grant and John Swift were brought on to try and find a winner.
But it didn't arrive, leaving the teams to take a point each at The Hawthorns.
