Albion Under-21s’ long unbeaten run came to an end after they were beaten 2-0 by Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
Second-half strikes from Ademola Ola-Adebomi and Hindolo Mustapha earned the Eagles all three Premier League 2 points - and meant Richard Beale’s youngsters suffered a first loss in 10 matches.

There were a handful of chances during the early stages, with Albion’s Deago Nelson and visiting midfielder Dylan Reid both curling over at either end.
Palace winger Zach Marsh then saw a strike disallowed for offside, while the Baggies’ best opening came seconds before the break when Nelson volleyed Akeel Higgins’ cross narrowly wide.

Nine minutes into the second 45 the away team went ahead, though, through Ola-Adebomi’s close-range finish. The striker made no mistake converting following Mustapha’s run and cross.
And Mustapha soon got on the scoresheet himself, hammering home a powerful effort and sealing Palace the spoils in Solihull.
