Albion Under-21s have been drawn to play Cardiff City away in their Premier League Cup round of 16 tie.
Richard Beale’s youngsters will come up against their South Wales counterparts on Friday, March 7 (ko 7pm) at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium.
The Baggies’ PL2 team secured passage to the knockout stages for the first time in three seasons by topping Group C ahead of Southampton, Swansea City and Fleetwood Town - tallying up a total of nine points from six matches (W2, D3, L1).
This is a competition which the club’s young pros won under Professional Development Phase boss Beale back in 2022, and they’ll be motivated to progress as far in the tournament if they are to emulate the success of the previous group of academy graduates.
