The visitors
Watford sit one point behind the Baggies ahead of their visit to the West Midlands on Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets have flirted with the play-off positions throughout the campaign, but haven't been able keep serious pace with the sides occupying top-six spots.
They'll be hoping to mount a late charge in the last five games and will be bouyed by thier 1-0 triumph at home to Hull City in midweek - a victory which leaves them six points off sixth.
Watford, participating in their third straight Sky Bet Championship campaign, are managed by their former player Tom Cleverley. The 35-year-old, who also represented England, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Everton, Leicester City and Wigan Athletic in his career, was appointed interim boss in March 2024 and was permanently handed the role in late April of the same year after an impressive run of results. Cleverley's Hornets managerial record reads played 55, won 20, drawn 13 and lost 22.
His team have found victories hard to come by on their travels in 2024/25, losing 11, drawing five and winning just four out of 20 in the second tier. Cleverley and Watford will be determined to earn one at The Hawthorns on Saturday mind, something they haven't done since April 2016 when they won a Premier League battle 1-0.

One from the history books
Albion produced an impressive performance to power past Watford in the Championship in October 2009.
Jonas Olsson, Graham Dorrans, Luke Moore, Gianni Zuiverloon and Simon Cox were all on the scoresheet in the 5-0 win at The Hawthorns.

Having won the reverse fixture in December, the Hornets have the chance to record a first league double over the Baggies since 1994/95. Watford won both matches that term 1-0.
Albion's last win against Saturday's guests was a 3-1 Premier League success in December 2016. Jonny Evans, Chris Brunt and Matt Phillips all scored that day for Tony Pulis' Baggies. Watford are on a run of eight without defeat in this fixture (W4, D4).

Dedicated Green Football fixture
This weekend’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Watford has been chosen as Albion’s dedicated Green Football fixture.
Tony Mowbray’s side host the Hornets at The Hawthorns on Saturday, April 12 (ko 3pm), with sustainability the focus away from the pitch.
The main theme is around donating sports kit, because a staggering 100,000 tonnes of it gets thrown away to landfill in the UK each year. That’s the equivalent to around 500 million football shirts.
Club staff have been contributing to Green Football’s Great Save via donations over the last week - and now Baggies supporters can do the same.
Drop-off points will be around the stadium ahead of kick-off on Saturday, where you can donate old sportswear and football kits. The containers can be found at the following locations:
- Fan Zone
- Astle Gates
- Smethwick End Corner (by Halfords Lane)
Head to www.greenfootball.org to let us know you’ve made the Great Save by donating and you’ll be entered into a draw to win prizes - including 12 months’ free Sky Sports and Ultra Boost, tickets to the Sky Bet Championship Play-off Final at Wembley, a signed 2023/24 Lionesses shirt and more.
All donations will be split between The Salvation Army and The Albion Foundation, who will put the items of clothing to good use in the local community, across the UK and on future charitable trips abroad.
By taking part, you'll be helping tackle climate change alongside supporting people who may not otherwise have the kit to be able to play.
Find out more about the campaign, and how else you can contribute to the Great Save, HERE.
