Albion Women progressed into the semi-finals of the County Cup with a 1-0 win at home to Lye Town.
Head coach Jenny Sugarman made a number of changes to the side that featured in the last league game, bringing in Development team player Ellie McFarlane for just her second appearance.
The deciding goal came 15 minutes into the tie - Sophie Tudor and Kerry Walklett linking up well to provide Olivia Stubbs with an opportunity, which she finished well.
New signing Delphi Cole came close to opening her Albion account on a couple of occasions, seeing one effort saved in the first half and then firing off target following the break.
In the last ten minutes the visitors threatened through a couple of corners and a free-kicks, but they were unable to break Albion’s resolve, the hosts holding on to a clean sheet and setting up a last-four derby clash against Wolves.
