Albion Women netted a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Brighouse on Sunday afternoon.
Jenny Sugarman made two changes to her starting XI for the FAWNL Northern Premier Division clash, swapping in Kate Evans and Izzy Green for Jannelle Straker and captain Hannah George – meaning Ash Brown was named skipper for the day.
Following a goalless first half, Brighouse took the lead just before the hour mark through Lucy Sowerby.
But the Baggies pushed hard for a leveller as Mariam Mahmood was denied by a last-ditch tackle and Shannon Stamps forced a save from the visitors’ goalkeeper.
And the goal they deserved did finally come thanks to super substitute Evie Gallop, who was back in the squad after overcoming an injury. In the 94th minute she raced into the area and drilled home, earning Albion a share of the spoils via the last kick of the game.
Albion Women return to action this Sunday when they host Stoke City.
