Anna Miller has been named as Albion Women’s 2023/24 Manager’s Player of the Season.
The goalkeeper, who joined the club during the previous campaign, came into the team in mid-October - keeping four clean sheets and becoming an integral part of Siobhan Hodgetts-Still’s side.
And the head coach was quick to heap praise on Miller, saying she chose her for the award because of “consistency” and “character”.
“Anna had to be patient and wait for her chance, but when she got that opportunity, she certainly took it,” explained Siobhan.
“She always trains, plays and performs with the right attitude - plus she’s a really good character in the group.
“I think goalkeepers are sometimes overlooked for things like this, because outfield players normally catch the eye more with goals and assists.
“But Anna has made top saves in important games, been consistent since coming into the XI, and I thought she was more than worthy of winning this award.”
Congratulations, Anna!
