Carlos Corberán has revealed he has a “lot of confidence” Cedric Kipre will be available to be part of Albion’s squad for Saturday’s clash with Stoke City.
The towering defender missed the Baggies’ 2-2 draw against Watford on Easter Monday after picking up a shoulder injury during the second half of Good Friday’s encounter with Millwall at The Den.
The boss says there was a possibility the Ivorian could’ve faced the Hornets, but insists it made more sense to allow Kipre the chance to completely recover.
Carlos said: “Cedric Kipre still had pain in his shoulder when we played against Watford on Easter Monday.
“With an injection, he probably could have played, but it made no sense because he still would’ve had pain even with the injection.
“It was better to reduce the pain and the inflammation and to stabilise the shoulder.
“He has been training well with the group and that gives us a lot of confidence in terms of his availability for Saturday’s game at Stoke City.”
