Carlos Corberán believes the news regarding Bilkul Football WBA, LLC’s takeover of West Bromwich Albion is “incredibly positive” for everyone associated with the club.
The deal was completed on Wednesday afternoon, with Florida-based entrepreneur Shilen Patel becoming Albion’s new Chairman.
Corberán, who was described by Patel as the manager with the “perfect mindset for the project the club are embarking on”, says the announcement is a huge boost for the Baggies both now and for the future.

Carlos said: “It’s incredibly positive news that the takeover has been completed.
“It’s great news for the club right now and it’s great news for the club for the future.
“For all of us who consider West Bromwich Albion to be a huge part of our lives, it’s huge news.
“This is a massive club when you consider everything that has happened in the past. The challenge now is to be doing things like what this club has achieved in the past.
“Being part of this club makes me feel very proud.
“I know how much I appreciate every type of effort the fans are putting in to the support the team.
“In a complicated period, they have been supporting the team a lot and they have created a special togetherness with our squad. That’s one of the reasons we arrive to the last part of the season in a good position.
“I really appreciate any positive words from anyone in charge of the club because my level of commitment is massive. From my first day until my last day, I will always give my best because it's what the club deserves and demands.
“My level of commitment with the club, the team and the fans is the maximum I can have.
“I always try my best. The fact the Chairman, Shilen Patel, is happy, is fantastic. We need to work together now, to keep doing our best for the club.”
The first game of Albion’s new era arrives on Friday night with last season’s beaten play-off finalists Coventry City heading to The Hawthorns (ko 8pm).
Corberán spoke of his admiration for Sky Blues boss Mark Robins and says they’re evidence of why you should never “give up” in the Championship.
Coventry were 20th after 15 games following a slow start, but a win in B71 would lift them up to within one point and place of the top six.
Carlos added: “Coventry are an example of what the Championship is all about. They suffered a lot in one period of the competition and they were far off from what they achieved last season.
“In the last 19 games, they’ve only suffered three league defeats and have moved to a completely different position.
“This year, the key in the Championship is not to relax and not to give up.
“It will be a very challenging game. They made important investments in the summer after playing in the play-off final at Wembley.
“I respect the coach a lot. He has helped the club win promotion and then reach the final at Wembley.
“They’ll give us a really tough challenge on Friday.”
