Carlos Corberán revealed Brandon Thomas-Asante remains a doubt for Friday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture at Leeds United (ko 8pm).
The striker missed last weekend’s 3-2 triumph at home to Swansea City with an ankle injury after picking up the complaint during the second half of the club’s clash with Stoke City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, August 8.
Corberán says the coaching staff and the medical team will make a decision on his inclusion at Elland Road based on how he reacts to Thursday’s training session.
The boss said: “Unfortunately Brandon Thomas-Asante is still a doubt.
“We need to wait and see what happens in training with him to see if he’ll be available for the game with Leeds.
“He received a strong kick against Stoke City and he had that complaint until the end of the game. It shows he can play with pain because he was playing with an injury, but after it’s been impossible for him to train, until today (Thursday).
“We’ll see how he reacts to training.”
