Carlos Corberán has provided an update on the fitness of several squad members ahead of Albion’s Sky Bet Championship trip to Hull City on Friday night.
The boss has confirmed attacking trio Brandon Thomas-Asante, Grady Diangana and Karlan Grant will all be unavailable after picking up injuries following last weekend’s win over Middlesbrough.
Thomas-Asante has a minor hamstring strain, Diangana has a foot complaint and Karlan Grant has an issue with his quad.
Corberán also spoke about Alex Palmer, Kyle Bartley, Tom Rogic and Matt Phillips, stating the first three are all making good progress, with Phillips remaining a doubt until the start of next season.
Carlos said: “Unfortunately, we have lost some of the players and they won’t be available for Hull City on Friday night.
“Grady Diangana is not going to be available. Brandon Thomas-Asante and Karlan Grant will also be missing for the next challenge, and maybe some of them for more games too.
“But, we have a squad which has many players in with a lot of possibilities. This allows us to go into games with a lot of positivity.
“We knew from the beginning that Matt Phillips is a player who we probably won’t see again this season. It would be close to impossible.
“Kyle Bartley is progressing well. Hopefully things continue that way and there is a positive update to bring our fans over the international break.
“Alex Palmer is progressing well too. This week he has been working with the goalkeeper coach.
“Tom Rogic has been training with the fitness coaches and next week he will be training with the squad. It means there’s a possibility he will come back into the squad over the next few games.
“We are managing different injuries and we will do our best to reduce the time the players will spend out of action.”
