Steve Bruce has confirmed Daryl Dike will return to full first-team training on Thursday.
The forward has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury against Peterborough United at The Hawthorns on Saturday, January 22.
Dike has been working tirelessly with the medical department over recent weeks in a bid to resume training at the appropriate moment.
And Bruce says he’s excited to see what the United States of America international is all about.
Bruce said: “Daryl Dike will be training with us for the first time today.
“He’ll be back in full training which is great for him and great for us.
“I haven’t seen him train yet because he’s been out since I’ve been here, so I’m really looking to watching him and seeing what he’s all about.
“He’s close.
“That’s obviously going to give everyone a lift.
“He’s a big powerful boy and I’ve heard plenty of good things about him from people here at the club.
“It’s great to have him back in training.”
