The Albion Foundation have secured a Premier League Fans Fund grant for its Together We Are Albion project to provide support, expertise and facilities to develop three fan initiatives.

This will mean that supporters groups All Access Albion, the club’s disability inclusive fan group, Proud Baggies, the club’s LGBTQ+ group and local community and faith groups – are set to receive increased support from the Foundation.

The Premier League Fans Fund provides grants to support football clubs at all levels of the game to strengthen connections between them, their fans and local communities.

The Foundation aims to provide targeted engagement and support to grow and nurture a more diverse healthy fanbase and ensure they feel a sense of belonging at West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

Director of The Albion Foundation, Rob Lake, said: “It has been wonderful today to officially launch our 'Together We are Albion' Fans Find project. We are so grateful to the Premier League for the fund which has enabled us to connect with three key supporter and community groups.

“We have made great progress to develop our disability group, All Access Albion, our LGBTQ+ group Proud Baggies and our local neighbours to The Hawthorns as part of our “Go Local” strategy.

“To have the full first team squad present to meet the groups and show their appreciation was perfect. The players were so engaged, and we are very lucky to have such a great set of people representing our club on and off the pitch.

“This is just the start of our work in this area, and we want to engage with as many fans and local groups as possible.”

The Premier League has committed £5million to the Fund from 2023-2025, this will be administered through the Premier League Charitable Fund.
