Four Albion players earned further caps for their nations across two separate competitions and two separate continents on Thursday.
Defender Torbjørn Heggem had a night to remember, making his full debut for Norway in their resounding 4-1 victory away at Slovenia in the UEFA Nations League.
The Baggies man played 87 minutes of the encounter in Ljubljana before being swapped for Stian Gregersen.
Antonio Nusa opened the scoring early on for Heggem’s country, but the hosts hit back not long after courtesy of Benjamin Sesko’s spot-kick.
However, Norway then took control of proceedings and went on to score three times through Erling Haaland, Nusa once more and Jens Hauge to secure three vital points.
Norway are second in the League B Group 3 standings, level on points with Austria heading into the final game. Torbjørn’s team host Kazakhstan on Sunday at 5pm, with the Austrians also at home at the same time, taking on Slovenia. The group winners will be promoted to League A.
Elsewhere in the same tournament, Mikey Johnston and Jayson Molumby featured for the Republic of Ireland in their narrow 1-0 triumph at home to Finland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Johnston started the game and completed 85 minutes before being replaced by Ryan Manning, while Molumby entered the action with 14 minutes left, coming on in place of Festy Ebosele.
Former Celtic man Mikey played a big part in Ireland’s winner, dinking a cross in from the left for striker Evan Ferguson to go and head into the back of the net at the end of the first period.
Ireland, who face England at Wembley on Sunday evening (ko 5pm), are now guaranteed to finish third in League B Group 2.

Finally, across the Atlantic Ocean, there was disappointment for on-loan defender Mason Holgate and his Jamaica side.
They lost 1-0 at home to USA in the first leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarter final, with Holgate sent-off late on after picking up two yellow cards.
Ricardo Pepi of PSV Eindhoven scored the game’s only goal as early as the fifth minute, though the Reggae Boyz could’ve earned a draw if Demarai Gray had converted a first-half penalty.
The return leg will be played in the early hours of Tuesday morning, a fixture Mason will be suspended for.
