Albion Women have completed the double signing of Francesca Orthodoxou and Meesha Dudley-Jones.
The pair join Siobhan Hodgetts’ side on the eve of the 2023/24 season and are both eligible to play in the opening match against Stoke City this Sunday.
Forward Dudley-Jones arrives after spells at Coventry United and Bridgwater United – though she already has strong links to the club, having spent time on loan last season. She also coached Albion’s under-16s and college teams.
Midfielder Orthodoxou, meanwhile, makes a return to the Baggies after leaving for Coventry United back in November 2020.
She made 60 appearances during her first spell and was an integral part of the 2018/19 double-winning side, which lifted the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands title and FA Women’s National League Plate.
“We’re really pleased to get both Francesca and Meesha in ahead of the new campaign,” said Head Coach Hodgetts.
“They add further quality to the squad and will undoubtedly increase competition for places, which is a big positive.”
Welcome to Albion, Francesca and Meesha!
