Albion’s Under-21s team have begun their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Richard Beale’s men suffered defeat in their first friendly fixture against non-league side Hereford last weekend, before setting off for a short five-day trip to Cornwall on Monday.
The Baggies’ young pros will face local outfit Liskeard Athletic FC during their time in the south west, and round off preparations for the new season with games against Rushall Olympic, Worcester Raiders, Walsall, Swansea City and Birmingham City.
Elsewhere in the academy, Leigh Downing’s Under-18s will be touring the Czech Republic in the lead up to his second term in charge of Albion’s scholars.
The youngsters’ games programme will commence on home soil against Walsall prior to their warm-up fixtures in central Europe, where they’ll take on Slovakian outfit Slovan Bratislava, Polish side Gornik Zabrze, and Czech team Banik Ostrava.
And Downing’s scholars will conclude their schedule with further clashes against Swindon Town, Sheffield United and Stoke City.
