Conor Gallagher couldn’t hold back his delight after scoring the deciding goal in Albion’s 1-0 win against Sheffield United on Saturday night.
The on-loan midfielder’s 13th minute effort, his first in blue and white, was enough to hand the Baggies a crucial triumph at The Hawthorns and move them out of the Premier League’s bottom three.

And Conor admitted his maiden strike had been a long time coming, but was most certainly worth the wait.
“I was buzzing to see it hit the back of the net,” he said.
“It’s a very proud moment for me and my family. Hopefully it’s just the start.
“I’ve been wanting to score for a while, and the feeling was amazing. But the main thing is the three points and we’re buzzing with that today.
“I don’t think I hit it very cleanly! I had a few chances from the same area and I scuffed a few, but fortunately that one went in.
“It’s a very important result. We’ve been desperate for a win this season, and I felt that a game like this was where we needed to pick up points.
“The boys battled well in the game and I think we’ve been deserving a win.
“The last 10 minutes felt like an hour to be honest, but the boys dug deep. They had a few chances but Sam (Johnstone) in goal was great, he made some great saves, and we did well to come out with the win in the end.
