Valérien Ismaël says Albion’s performance against Bristol City on Saturday was a “great” one.
The Baggies bounced back to winning ways with a 3-0 triumph over the Robins at The Hawthorns thanks to first-half goals from Jordan Hugill and Kyle Bartley, before Karlan Grant’s sixth in as many games after the break wrapped up a deserved victory.
And the boss was pleased to see his side produce the response he demanded after Wednesday’s defeat at Swansea City.
He said: “We showed a brilliant reaction after the game against Swansea.
“We played some very good stuff and we should have scored more goals.
“We had more than 20 shots on goal and about nine of those were on target.
“We got into a lot of good situations and we found some good solutions.
“There were times when I thought we could have had a bit more quality on the ball and our final pass was a bit sloppy.
“We need to improve this to make sure we are on top throughout the whole game.
“But, it was a great performance and I’m pleased.
“I was very pleased with Robert Snodgrass’ performance and I think he was our Man of the Match.
“He took his chance on Saturday.
“I think it’s important to be able to score all types of goals and we did that against Bristol City.
“Our positioning was much better on Saturday, which is something we worked on quite a lot in the week.
“We’re happy with the performance and the result. We are back to winning ways.
“Saying that, we know that we can still improve and I will be pushing the guys to improve.”
