Jayson Molumby came on as a late substitute for the Republic of Ireland in their 4-0 victory over Gibraltar in UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying on Monday night.
The Baggies man replaced Josh Cullen with 16 minutes remaining at the Estadio Algarve in Portugal.
Goals from Evan Ferguson, Mikey Johnstone, Matt Doherty and former Albion striker Callum Robinson secured a comfortable three points for Molumby’s nation.
Elsewhere, defender Semi Ajayi was an unused substitute for Nigeria as they beat Mozambique 3-2 in a friendly which took place in Portugal.
Both players will now report back to the club ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Plymouth Argyle at The Hawthorns.
