Jayson Molumby believes noticeable improvements in his game are as a result of regular action and feeling extremely confident on the pitch.
The Republic of Ireland international penned a contract extension at The Hawthorns in the early part of January, agreeing a deal which runs until the summer of 2028.
The news was celebrated by the club’s supporters who have been full of praise for the way the midfielder has performed so far in 2024/25.
Molumby, who initially joined the Baggies on loan in August 2021 before signing permanently in May 2022, insists he will always “give absolutely everything” in “every single game” and is confident he can keep taking his standard to higher levels.
Jayson said: “I’ve definitely improved during my time here.
“I came here when I was about 21 or 22 and I’ve matured a lot in the years I’ve been here. I’m happy and I’m settled. I like where I live and I feel like this place is home which obviously helps you improve. I enjoy being at the club.
“Having consistency and a run of games helps massively too. It’s not as easy to improve or find that consistent level of performance when you’re not getting regular starts and you’re in and out of the team.
“I’ve had both ends here. There were seasons where I’ve been in the team regularly and I feel like I’ve had good seasons. There have also been times like last year where I was in and out of the team and then had the injury, which was tough.
“Lately I feel like I’ve been playing regularly and that stands well with me. I feel comfortable and confident.
“I don’t feel like a key player but I know what my strengths and weaknesses are. My strengths are passion, energy, commitment and giving absolutely everything every single game.

“I put a lot of pressure on myself to perform and do things well on and off the pitch, but, at the end of the day, I know in myself that every single game I play in, I’m giving my best. That’s all I can do.
“I feel like I started the season slowly. I had a big injury and I was trying to get back into the swing of things. I was in and out of the team and I couldn’t really get much consistency going.
“The last 12 games or so I feel like I’ve played a lot more regularly and I’ve felt confident and I’ve felt good. I want to keep improving and I want to kick on here at Albion.”
