Albion midfielder Jayson Molumby has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension which runs until the summer of 2028.

The 25-year-old, who arrived at The Hawthorns in July 2021, has to date made 125 appearances for the Baggies, scoring seven goals.

The Republic of Ireland international initially joined on loan from Brighton, before completing a permanent transfer in May 2022.

Molumby has played 22 Sky Bet Championship fixtures so far this term and says he cannot wait for the next chapter in his Albion story.

Jayson said: “I’ve been at the club since 2021 and it’s a place where I feel really happy.

“There are so many good people here who I love being around every single day and I’m delighted to be extending my contract.

“I’ve been pleased with my performances this season, but everyone knows I want to get even better, and I believe I’m on the right track to doing that here at Albion.

“We all want to be successful this season and I’m completely focused on giving everything I’ve got every week to help us achieve what we want to achieve.”

Sporting Director Andrew Nestor added: "Jayson’s play and commitment on the pitch has been important to the team and we are delighted to have agreed this new contract with him.

"We continue to move forward with our squad planning strategy that we began implementing in the Summer.

"Nothing has changed in that respect, and we want to ensure players like Jayson know they are a focal part of those plans. This new contract is recognition of the contribution he is making to the team."
