Sam Johnstone has capped off an impressive campaign by picking up a trio of Albion accolades on the day he was included in England’s provisional Euro 2020 squad.
The shot-stopper made 37 appearances in his first Premier League term, earning rave reviews from fans, fellow professionals and pundits for countless outstanding saves and performances.
Johnstone was named Stanley Black & Decker Players’ Player of the Year by his teammates to go alongside being voted the Ideal Heating Supporters’ Player of the Year by Baggies fans.
And as well as stunning showings on the pitch, he’s also been recognised by The Albion Foundation for his stellar work off of it by winning the PFA Community Champion Award.
“I’m delighted and very proud to be given these awards,” said Johnstone.
“It means so much when it comes from your squad, the fans and of course our fantastic Foundation.
“The last year has been a big learning curve for me, going up against some of the best players in the world, and to receive recognition at the end of it is a big boost.”
Congratulations, Sam!
