West Bromwich Albion is shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Club Doctor Julian Widdowson.
The highly-respected sports medicine doctor joined the Baggies in 2018, having earned a glittering reputation in rugby with spells at Bath, Gloucester, and the Welsh Rugby Union, who he continued to represent alongside his responsibilities at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies will wear black armbands at Sunderland on Monday and will pay a full tribute to Jules, including a minute’s applause, at the home fixture against Rotherham United on Saturday, December 17 (ko 3pm).
The thoughts of all at The Hawthorns are with everyone affected by his passing, and the club sends its heartfelt condolences to Jules’ wife, Celia, and the Widdowson family at this desperately sad time.
