Tom Fellows made his Crawley Town debut on Saturday afternoon after securing a season-long move to the Sky Bet League Two side on transfer deadline day.
The winger completed 90 mins on the right for the Reds as they earned a 2-2 draw at Salford City.
Callum Hendry put Salford ahead but Crawley equalised through Tom Nichols before the break. Ryan Watson gave the home side a second lead in the match, but once more Fellows’ side drew level with Ludwig Francillette on target to make it 2-2.
In the Sky Bet Championship, defender Cedric Kipre played another full game for Cardiff City who lost 2-0 at Millwall.
Charlie Cresswell gave the Lions the lead at The Den in the 63rd minute and Benik Afobe wrapped up the win in added time.
Alex Mowatt’s Middlesbrough aren’t in action until Monday night when they host neighbours Sunderland (ko 8pm).
Meanwhile, young duo Josh Griffiths and Caleb Taylor were both in action for their clubs in Sky Bet League One.
Goalkeeper Griffiths completed 90 minutes as Portsmouth beat Peterborough United 2-1 at Fratton Park – their fifth consecutive league victory.
Jack Marriott scored past Griffiths inside the opening ten minutes to give the visitors the lead but a brace from Dane Scarlett helped turn the game around and keep Pompey joint top.
Defender Taylor also got 90 minutes in for Cheltenham who drew 2-2 at Port Vale.
Dan N’Lundulu opened the scoring for Taylor’s men only for Ademipo Odubeko to grab an equaliser, before Cheltenham midfielder Taylor Perry turned the ball into his own net to give Vale the lead at the break.
But Town didn’t give up earned a point deep into added time when Charlie Brown found the net.
