Reyes Cleary played a crucial role for Hartlepool United as they got back to winning ways in the National League over the weekend.

The Albion youngster notched a goal and an assist for the Pools in their 4-1 win over Boston United at the Victoria Ground.

Cleary claimed his assist four minutes into the game, crossing from the left for Gary Madine, who took a touch before firing into the back of the net.

He then got himself on the scoresheet in the 67th minute, latching on to a ball back across the box and firing low into the bottom right corner before being withdrawn 15 minutes from time.

That result leaves Hartlepool 13th in the table, with 49 points from their 39 fixtures so far this season.

Elsewhere, Matt Richards played the majority of Leamington's 2-0 victory over South Shields in National League North.

The Baggies youngster helped preserve a valuable clean sheet for the Brakes who netted twice in the first half to lift themselves above their opponents by the end of play.

Josh Shaw also played the entirety of another fixture in the division, as Marine AFC claimed a 2-1 win over Peterborough Sports.

Sports opened the scoring early on, but goals from defensive duo James Butler and Josh Wardle either side of half-time were enough to earn the hosts the three points - making it four consecutive wins for Neil Young's side.

Finally, Ben Cisse was between the sticks for Alvechurch as they put in a solid display to claim a point against play-off chasing Leiston in the Southern Central Premier Division.

Having lost their last two, the Church fought back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at Lye Meadow courtesy of a spectacular Dan Sweeney strike.

That point keeps Tim Flowers' side firmly in mid-table, amassing 48 points from their 35 games so far this campaign.
