Young Baggies trio Josh Griffiths, Ronnie Hollingshead and Matt Richards all played their part in helping their respective loan sides secure crucial victories over the weekend.
Griffiths completed the entirety of Bristol Rovers’ impressive 3-1 home win over Barnsley in Sky Bet League One, making eight key saves in the process.
Gatlin O’Donkor opened the scoring for the Gas before the break, before Isaac Hutchinson made it 2-0 seven minutes into the second period.
Josh Earl pulled one back, but the points were wrapped up when Ruel Sotiriou added a third Rovers goal inside the final ten.
The victory lifts Josh’s team up to 18th in the standings, seven points clear of trouble.
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Hollingshead and midfielder Richards both started for Alvechurch in their dramatic 3-2 triumph in front of their own supporters against Barwell.
Ronnie completed the whole game, while Richards got through just over an hour before being replaced at Lye Meadow.
Dylan Hadley-Allen’s brace for the Church and goals from Tyrell Waite and Brady Hickey meant the scores were level at 2-2 heading into second-half injury time.
With virtually the last kick, Bradley Stretton forced the ball home from inside the penalty area to seal all three points.
The win leaves Alvechurch 13th in the table, ten points off a play-off position and four points above the drop zone.
