The result was enough to keep the Chairboys top of the third tier. Taylor’s team are level on points with Wrexham, while Birmingham City sit one point behind in third.
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Ronnie Hollingshead and midfielder Matt Richards both played the entirety of Alvechurch’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Boston United in the third round of the Isuzu FA Trophy.
Forward Adam Marriott scored the winner for the Vanarama National League outfit 12 minutes from the end of the tie.
