Albion Women recorded a crucial 1-2 away victory at Loughborough Lightning on Thursday night.
Jenny Sugarman’s team took the lead on 27 minutes thanks to an own-goal when Lizzie Bennett-Steele’s was deflected home.
However, just before the interval they were pegged back by the hosts, who equalised through Georgia Stevens’ header.
The Baggies rallied and, just after half-time, managed to edge in front again – this time Phoebe Warner’s long-range effort flying into the net.
Loughborough pushed forward in search of an equaliser late on but Albion held firm to comfortably see the game out and claim an important FA Women’s National League North success.
