Albion's PL2 team suffered a 5-1 defeat at Manchester United on Friday night.
The hosts raced into a three-goal lead inside the opening half hour thanks to efforts from Gabriele Biancheri, James Scanlon and Bendito Mantato.
Jack Fletcher then added two more in the final four minutes of the first 45.
The Baggies pulled one back in the 64th minute when Harry Whitwell won and converted a penalty.
It proved to be little more than consolation, mind, with United taking all three points in comfortable fashion.
