West Bromwich Albion welcome QPR to The Hawthorns for some midweek Sky Bet Championship football on Tuesday night (ko 8pm).

The Baggies were held to a goalless draw at home by Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, while Rangers suffered a 2-1 reverse on their travels up at Huddersfield Town.

The last meeting ended in a 2-2 draw back in April, with Brandon Thomas-Asante and Semi Ajayi on target for Carlos Corberán's side.

The opponents

QPR are going through a challenging spell and will arrive at The Hawthorns in midweek with a clear intention of turning worrying momentum into positive momentum.

Rangers are 22nd in the Sky Bet Championship after 12 matches played, with a run of four straight league defeats cause for concern among supporters.

They were narrowly beaten 2-1 at Darren Moore's Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon - a result which extended their winless run to seven fixtures.

The Londoners have won two games in the league, but both of those have come away from Loftus Road and they'll be determined to secure a third in the West Midlands.

Former Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth is the man in charge, and has been since February this year. The 50-year-old spent seven years with the R's as a player between 2003 and 2010 and has a record of five wins, four draws and 17 defeats from his 26 fixtures as the boss.

Rangers will be hoping for a revival at The Hawthorns

One to remember

Albion produced a sensational showing to beat QPR 7-1 at The Hawthorns in August 2018.

Matt Phillips, Kieran Gibbs, Jay Rodriguez, Dwight Gayle and Hal Robson-Kanu all scored that afternoon, with Joel Lynch netting for the visitors.

Supporters can watch the highlights from that afternoon below.
