Semi Ajayi and Daryl Dike both featured for Nigeria and USA respectively on Friday.
Ajayi came on to replace Hoffenheim player Kevin Akpoguma in the 52nd minute of their disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Guinea Bissau in AFCON qualifying.
Mama Balde scored the only goal of the game for the visitors in the first period in Abuja.
The result pushed Guinea Bissau above the Super Eagles into top spot in Group A at the halfway stage, with the top two from each pool qualifying for the final tournament.
Ajayi and Nigeria will be after revenge when they travel to Guinea Bissau on Monday afternoon.

Forward Daryl Dike played just over half-an-hour for the United States as they earned a comprehensive 7-1 win away to Grenada in the CONCACAF Nations League.
The Baggies man came on in place of Ricardo Pepi after 57 minutes in a game which the States were completely dominant in.
Ricardo Pepi (2), Weston McKennie (2), Brenden Aaronson, Christian Pulisic and Alejandro Zendejas were all on target for Dike's nation, with Grenada's goal arriving courtesy of Myles Hippolyte.
The handsome victory means Dike's country have now qualified for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
USA's next match is a home fixture in Orlando against El Salvador in the early hours of Tuesday morning (UK time).
