In this latest, light-hearted episode, the No.20 discusses her love for Joe Cole and Jane McDonald, talks about things she believes are massively overrated and reveals the reason why she thinks aliens exist.

Over to you, Phoebe…

What is your earliest memory of football?

Playing in the garden with my dad and my brother when I was about five or six. I’ve always been better than my brother and I’m sure he’d say the same!

What’s the first football shirt you owned?

I had a Chelsea shirt with Joe Cole on the back of it. I wouldn’t say I was Chelsea fan anymore, I just used to really like to Joe Cole. I think the sponsor on the front of the shirt was Samsung.

Who was your role model growing up and why?

Joe Cole. I used to love Joe Cole. I don’t know why. I used to have Joe Cole everything. I think maybe it was because I was a Chelsea fan.

Favourite meal to eat after a game?

Chips. Plain chips with a bit of ketchup and salt. I just love chips.

Who is your best friend in football?

Olivia Rabjohn here at the Albion.

What’s the best goal you’ve ever scored?

I scored at The Hawthorns last year. It was a bit of a tap-in, but it’s still a goal at The Hawthorns. I also scored one here earlier this season which was a great experience.

What’s the best stadium you have played at?

The Hawthorns. It’s always great to play at our stadium.

Favourite band or artist?

Jane McDonald, the cruise singer, or Justin Bieber. Two very different singers I know.

Favourite TV show growing up?

Phineas and Ferb. That was amazing.

Does chocolate belong in the fridge?

Yes. Yes it does. I would put chocolate in the freezer actually and then dunk it in my tea to melt it.

How many spoons of sugar are acceptable in a cup of tea?

None. Simple as that.

What is your job?

I work for the Shropshire FA as a football development officer, covering a few different groups. It really suits me and I really enjoy it.

Proudest moment of your life?

I think I’d probably have to say when I made my debut at Aston Villa. I was quite young at the time. I was only 16 so that was a big moment for my family and I. I was really nervous. We played at The Lamb in Tamworth and we played against Millwall in a league game. I just remember coming on and doing quite well and then coming off and feeling like it was a really nice experience.

Which celebrity would you choose to spend the day with if you had the chance?

Jane McDonald or Justin Bieber. I love Jane McDonald. She’s from Loose Women and she does lots of cruise shows. I’ve been to see her live and I would say I’m definitely her biggest fan. I even have two Jane McDonald t-shirts. I did a Jane McDonald quiz at work once too.

Name one thing that is overrated in life?

Hmm. Maybe, earning loads of money. That’s the most serious thing I’ve said so far in this feature. I think it’s more important to enjoy yourself rather than having loads of money. I think people should just be happy with having fun and as long as they are happy, then that’s the main thing.

Do you believe in aliens?

Yes, I do. I watched a documentary on Netflix about aliens and ever since then, I’ve believed in them. There were sightings and that’s enough for me. There isn’t any proof to suggest they don’t exist, for all those saying there’s no proof they do. There might be aliens with us right now on this earth.

If you could travel back in time and attend one sporting event from history, which one would it be and why?

When Usain Bolt broke the 100m record. That would’ve been so cool to witness live.

Any quirky matchday superstitions?

I have a coffee. That’s so quirky and different, I know! I also like to dance in the dressing room, but that’s not a superstition, that’s just for my own enjoyment. I like to perform in the changing room before the game. I did try and introduce a Jane McDonald playlist, but the girls banned me from doing so.

Strangest way you’ve ever been hurt?

I actually have a really good one for this. I was looking round a new house with my parents when I was younger and I got bitten by the cat which lived in the house. I didn’t see it on the sofa, so I sat down and ended up sitting on the cat and it bit me on the arm. I accidentally sat on its tail because it blended in with the sofa and then it got up and bit me. I must’ve been about 11. It drew blood and everything. The woman who lived in the house, she had to get me some anti-bacterial wipes and a plaster.

One thing that annoys you about social media?

When people view my Instagram stories but then they don’t like the post. It’s so annoying. I’m like, just like it, it’s there for you all to see. I’ve posted it on my story so you can all go and like it. What is it with these people looking at it and not liking it.
