Reyes Cleary has received a nomination for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.
The 19-year-old forward enjoyed a brilliant 2022/23 campaign, scoring 19 goals for Richard Beale’s PL2 side as well as making five appearances across three different competitions for the senior team.
Cleary bagged hat-tricks on two separate occasions against Middlesbrough in a 5-2 home victory in October, and then a 5-1 triumph at Derby County in April.
Reyes faces competition from Manchester City trio Oscar Bobb, Carlos Borges and Adedire Mebude, as well as Southampton’s Dan Ballard, Leeds United’s Mateo Joseph, Alfie Gilchrist of Chelsea and Jack Wells-Morrison who plays for Crystal Palace.
The shortlist was drawn up by the Premier League's Football Development Panel, who will determine the winner. The winner will be announced at the Premier League Youth Conference awards evening on Monday, May 2023.
