Albion came away from Rotherham with a well-earned 2-0 Sky Bet Championship victory on Tuesday evening.
Second half goals from Grady Diangana and Jed Wallace were the difference as the Baggies returning to winning ways at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Carlos Corberán’s men are back home this Sunday, when they host Stoke City in B71.
The boss brought Okay Yokuslu and Brandon Thomas-Asante back into his starting XI in Yorkshire, and was also able to name Wallace and Adam Reach on the bench following their returns from short and long-term injuries respectively.
In truth, it was a pretty quiet first 45. Former Baggie Jordan Hugull saw a header easily saved in Rotherham’s only meaningful attempt, while Darnell Furlong and Jayson Molumby struck speculative shots wide down the other end.
The opener arrived just seven minutes after the interval, though, thanks to Diangana. Albion’s tricky winger picked up the ball on the edge of the area and hit a deflected effort past Rotherham goalkeeper Viktor Johansson, sending the 1,237 travelling supporters wild.
Rotherham substitute Sam Nombe flicked a header off-target in a rare scare, but it was an otherwise comfortable final period for the Baggies.
And they made sure all three points would be coming back late on, Wallace hammering home a brilliant free-kick - confirming the triumph in style.
