Albion Women Head Coach Siobhan Hodgetts-Still believes her side were "dominant" in their Adobe Women's FA Cup second-round triumph over Worcester City on Sunday.

The Baggies dispatched their fourth-tier opponents with a convincing 6-0 victory, where goals from Rhianne Oakley (3), Simran Jhamat, Marli Rhodes, and Ella Haughey made the difference.

The boss was delighted to see her group produce another rampant goalscoring display at the Valley Stadium.

She said: "I’m really happy that we’re through to the third round of the FA Cup. We dominated the game, and the game plan went well. The girls stuck to that well.

"We moved the ball up the field nicely and we created some really good chances. It was a professional performance and I’d like to give credit to the opposition who never gave in and made things difficult for us at times.

"We could have had a few more, but their defenders and goalkeeper have made some important blocks. We want to keep improving on these areas but I’m happy with our cup run so far."

Striker Oakley grabbed a hat-trick during the rout and she’s enjoying a fruitful spell in front of goal, having bagged six in her last four games.

“It’s not every week you score a hat-trick so it’s a really exciting feeling for me,” Oakley said. “On a personal level to get off the mark and get three is an amazing feeling.

“To help the team win today is great and to get that win is a nice feeling. I’m really enjoying starting and playing, doing well in the cup and helping the team to get that next win is great.

“I’m trying to mark my place in the starting XI. I’ve been doing a lot inside and outside of training to improve my game and get some starts under my belt.”

Having seen the effort levels of Oakley since her arrival from Cardiff City in the summer, Hodgetts-Still is pleased with the forward, who she says is always searching for self-improvement.

She said: “For me, she’s come in and she’s worked incredibly hard on and off the pitch, she constantly wants to improve. We know the quality she has. It’s about continuing to work with her to develop her overall game.

"I’m delighted that she’s got the three goals today, it’s well deserved.”

Oakley wasn’t the only player to join in on the goalscoring action on Sunday. Left-back Haughey scored her first Albion goal – a moment she was delighted with.

"It was quite a surprise to be honest, but hopefully, it’s the start of a few more," Ella said. "I’ve just looked up and seen Marli cross it and thought ‘oh, why am I at the back post?’.

"I just stuck my head on it. I thought the defender might’ve touched it but I came in to head it. Since coming it’s been hard to get started but it’s been really good being with the girls."
