Albion Women defender Taylor Reynolds is adamant her side are capable of beating any team in the FA Women’s National League North on their day.
The Baggies secured a welcome win up at Huddersfield Town on Sunday, with Jess Reavill and Fran Orthodoxou on target in Yorkshire.
And Reynolds has urged her team-mates to believe in their ability as they look to drive themselves up the division in the coming weeks.
Taylor said: “I think in the first half we came out strongly and we battled away. The standard of the pitch wasn't great, but I think we adapted well.
“I think in the second half, they brought the game to us a little bit more. Thankfully, we saw it through and got the three points which was really important for us.
“As a team, we like to play possession football. We don't really like to go long, but on this pitch with the bobble, we had to just adapt our game and just play with the conditions. We did plenty of things really well today.”
The result pushes the Baggies up into eighth place in the league, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
Albion have an exciting day at The Hawthorns next weekend against Burnley to look ahead to, where they’ll be aiming to advance even further up the table.
Taylor wants her team to climb as high as they possibly can between now and the end of the term.
She said: “I was going to say it is a relief to go further clear of trouble. We just need to make that gap bigger and bigger.
“We know there's teams above us that we're trying to catch up to now, which I think we can do with the games we've got coming up.
“We just need to believe in ourselves. I think we can get three points against any team in this league on our day.
“I think we're all really excited for Sunday's game at The Hawthorns. The girls are really up for it.
“The coaches are really up for it too. We just want to show everyone what we can do. Hopefully we'll get a lot of fans down.
“We just want to show everyone how far we've come from the first time we played at The Hawthorns at the start of the season.”
