Tom Fellows made his England U21 debut on Friday night in their goalless draw against Northern Ireland in a European Championships qualifier.

The Baggies winger came off the bench to replace Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson in the 88th minute of the contest at Ballymena Showgrounds.

The point leaves the Young Lions second in Group F, two points behind leaders Ukraine who have played one game less.

Tom will hope to feature more prominently on Monday night when England face Austria at Luton Town's Kenilworth Road.

Elsewhere, midfielder Ousmane Diakité was an unused substitute for Mali who drew 1-1 at home to Mozambique in AFCON qualifying.

The visitors struck first through Geny Catamo in the opening period, but Mali equalised after the interval courtesy of Yves Bissouma's effort.

The result leaves Diakité's nation third in Group I after one match completed. Mali are back in qualifying action against Eswatini in South Africa on Tuesday (ko 2pm).
