Tony Mowbray insists everyone associated with Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion will be aware of just how big Friday’s clash at the CBS Arena is.
The Baggies, who sit three points behind the Sky Blues in the Sky Bet Championship table with four matches remaining, know a victory would lift them above Frank Lampard’s team and into the play-off positions.
Coventry have a strong home record and have won five of their last six second-tier encounters in front of their own supporters, while Mowbray’s men will be buoyed by last weekend’s 2-1 triumph over Watford at The Hawthorns.
The boss says this is a fixture which has “a lot riding” on it, but stressed his team are very much looking forward to the pressure and the challenge.

Tony said: “We’re looking forward to a very big weekend. You want to be involved in big games and we’ve got plenty of them coming up. There’s pressure and there’s plenty of interest and we need to be brave and try and impose our game.
“There’s a lot riding on this weekend and we need to make sure we’re up for the challenge.
“Since I’ve been at the club we’ve been in the top six, out of the top six, gone back into the play-off positions, and now, we’re striving to get back into the top six with four games left.
“Coventry City are a very good team, have some very talented individuals and are on a confident run.

“They know where they are in the league and they’ll know the importance of this game against us. They’ll know we can jump above them in the table if we manage to get a win there on Friday.
“I think it’s a great game to look forward to, between two good teams who clearly have a lot to play for.
“It’s a huge game in the context of the division and the race for the play-offs. We hope that we can go there, give a good account of ourselves and come home with three points.”
