Torbjørn Heggem came off the bench in the 37th minute as Norway secured a comprehensive 5-0 win over Moldova in their opening 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Baggies defender replaced Hoffenheim’s Leo Ostigard with the score already at 2-0 following strikes from Julian Ryerson and Erling Haaland.
Thelo Aasgaard and Alexander Sorloth then both found the net in the latter stages of the first 45.
Aron Donnum went on to make it five in the middle of the second period at Stadionul Zimbru in Chișinău.
Heggem and Norway will now prepare for their second qualifier – a tussle with Israel on Tuesday, March 25. That fixture is set to be played in Hungary.
Congratulations and good luck for Tuesday, Torbjørn!
