Albion defender Torbjørn Heggem says it was a dream come true to make his Norway debut during the October international break.
The Baggies man was rewarded for his fine form in navy blue and white with a first call-up - going on to earn his maiden cap against Austria.
And, upon returning back to England, he admitted it's an achievement he will savour for a long time.
"It was a good experience for me," said Torbjørn.
"Of course, it’s always going to be nice to get called up for the first time in my career.
“You have several dreams as a footballer and one of them is always to represent your nation - and I was lucky enough to get that call and make my debut as well.
“It was a great experience, even though we didn’t get the result we wanted, but to get my first minutes, that alone is a huge achievement for me.”
The 25-year-old watched on as Norway beat Slovenia 3-0 in their first clash of the break, before being introduced off the bench in the defeat to Austria.
And he says that his next aim is to trying fight for a starting berth when the opportunity arises.
"I would love to earn a starting spot next," he added.
“The coaching staff want me to be there with them next time if that’s a possibility, and hopefully if that happens I can earn more minutes and hopefully start one day."
The Norwegian's next opportunity to feature for Norway will come in November, when they round off their Nations League group games with fixtures against Slovenia and Kazakhstan.
