Albion's scholars ended the 2022/23 campaign in resilient fashion after coming from behind with ten men to claim a point against Fulham at their Walsall training base.
Lemar Gordon had given the Cottagers an early opener after 13 minutes during the young Baggies' season finale, but Adriel Walker levelled things from the spot and could've turned things on their head when Leigh Downing's men earned another spot-kick.
Unfortunately, Walker couldn't convert second time around and his miss was made to pay in the second 45.
Jamal Mohammed's dismissal on 50 minutes hindered Albion's fight to secure the points, as Fulham netted a penalty of their own through Callum Osmand before Gordon's second of the game gave the visitors a comfortable advantage heading into the last 15 minutes.
However, Downing's men showed their battling credentials in the closing stages to earn a share of the spoils late on. Defenders Narel Phillips and Femi Olofinjana both found the net to restore parity between the sides, helping the Baggies hopefuls secure a respectable seventh-placed finish in the PL South standings.
