Albion’s U18 side earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Arsenal in their opening home match of the 2023/24 season on Saturday.
Forward Adriel Walker gifted Leigh Downing’s boys the perfect start after 12 minutes, a lead which the Baggies held going into the second period.
However, the youngsters were unable to hold out and the Gunners found a leveller inside the opening six minutes of the restart.
The point was Albion’s first of the new season, with the club’s academy hopefuls heading to Norwich City next weekend on the hunt for their maiden victory.
